Curatrix

We are student led architectural practice that aims to re-establish identity to projects, that is sensitive to the needs and concerns of local communities and future generations.

The name of our practice "Curatrix" derives from the Latin word "Cura", which means to care or to guard and "trix", which is the female suffix to form the word female guardian. Despite being a group of males we chose this name as we believe architects have a role of guarding and nurturing a community through architecture similar to the maternal roles of a mother.
